The Mission
We are a community-based organization of volunteers, whose mission is to help support deserving Cancer research organizations, in the hope to eradicate cancer and provide enhancements to the quality of life for people living with cancer
The Reason
SCRF was started by three committee members; Manuel J. Clementino, Julio Santos, and Dhaman Kissoon, with the idea to give back to the organizations that have been providing breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care to people and families living with cancer. Something that two committee members know all too well, as one lives with cancer and the other has a son living with cancer. They have experienced the advances and the compassionate care that these organizations provide and feel the responsibility to provided continued support in the hopes that one day we can eliminate this horrible disease.
Governance and Principles
The Committee will be accountable for the management of incoming donations and the administration of grants to deserving cancer organizations. The committee will evaluate all event budgets to ensure the maximum leverage donations. The goal of the foundation is to ensure that the highest percentage of receipted donations is contributed to the selected charities.
